Picture 2Pic. 4

I know that the next assignment is actually based upon finding photos of things that are 'time out of time' and 'place out of place', but I wanted, if for no other reason than just for fun, to find some photos of heterotopias first, to make my transition and spark my creativity.
The first heterotopia or 'third space' is the mirror of my car which is a picture that seems really neat to me because you can see all the cars lined up in traffic behind me and yet they don't really exist in that mirror, but they do exist in actual time and space behind me and the mirror captures that image which is then captured by my camera. Pretty cool I think!
The second heterotopia I posted a picture of is a cemetary. For obvious reasons this eerie 'third space' is considered to be one of the many examples of heterotopic 'locations'.
The third heterotopia I posted is a picture of Rutgers in New Brunswick because this is a sub-heterotopia within the city of New Brunswick and the fourth picture of the church is the final heterotopia I decided to feature, also in New Brunswick, but contained within the general vicinity of Rutgers campus, which many times seems to have no real defined boundaries or limits within the city itself.

Here's an interesting link I found when I randomly typed in "Time out ofTime into the web browser for those who are interested--"http://www.schooloftheseasons.com/timeout.html
